signal 01
The anchor store is a stack of screens.

This shorter file treats the set as a dead-mall fable: first the anchor tenant gets a body, then the food court starts moving, then the atrium remembers that shopping was always a little theatrical.
signal 02
A rolling terminal patrols the food court.
The smaller specimen feels almost serviceable, like a checkout cart or a directory kiosk that learned to move before anyone taught it where to go. The mall gives it glossy floors, orange chairs, and nowhere useful to arrive.

The directory grows a brain.
Every mall needs a map. This one has started solving the wrong problem. It can probably tell you where the shoe store was. It cannot explain why the concourse feels like a body.

signal 04
Something waits beside the fountain.
The mall is not empty in the dramatic way. It is empty in the operational way: lights on, floor polished, fountain murmuring, a machine-organ pretending to be part of the landscaping.

signal 05
By morning, it has become the attraction.
The final specimen is not hiding in a back room. It is staged in the middle of retail space, large enough to become an event, weird enough to make the mall feel useful again.
